Katherine WalkerKatherine A. Walker, MHRM, MS, LCPC, NCC, is the Founder and Executive Director of Lifetime Behavioral Health.  She has devoted over 15 years of her career to helping others resolve personal and professional issues, prepare for and understand significant life changes, and obtain work life balance.  Her approach is relational, encouraging and hopeful.  Katherine’s special interests include postpartum depression, coping with miscarriages, intentional parenting, disordered eating, stress & anger management, improving family communication, anxiety, and helping adolescents and young adults find their way in the world.  Katherine obtained her Masters in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and her Masters in Science, Counseling from National Louis University.


Kara ZimmermanKara Zimmerman, MS, LMFT, LCPC serves as the Clinical Supervisor at Lifetime Behavioral Health. With more than 10 years of counseling experience, she has a passion for shepherding people through difficult times and caring for those who care for others. She considers it a privilege to come alongside people for a variety of counseling needs, including marital and premarital counseling, depression, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, attachment, temperament and personality differences in relationships, communication, adoption and foster care concerns, and abuse issues. She also specializes in spiritual issues, the particular challenges facing families with adolescent girls, and clinical supervision of therapists.  Kara received her Masters in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northern Illinois University.



Valerie Cocar, BA, serves as a Clinical Intern at Lifetime Behavioral Health. She is currently pursuing her MA in Mental Health Counseling at Trinity International University. During her internships, she has cultivated a special interest in counseling the under-resourced and adolescent populations, especially in the areas of goal-setting, anger, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Additionally, Valerie looks forward to working with children, adolescents, and adults confronting a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, interpersonal conflict, and personal growth. Valerie’s therapeutic approach is relational, supportive, and oriented towards meeting client goals. Valerie received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Trinity International University, with added coursework in Psychology from Hong Kong University.



Susan GarrisonSusan Garrison, MSW, LCSW has a heart for encouraging others to develop a deeper level of personal, social, spiritual and professional growth in their lives. She has a passion to support others as they create change and  experience healing in their lives, as well as a deeper satisfaction in their relationships. For nearly 20 years she has been helping individuals and couples who are looking for effective ways to regulate emotions and resolve their anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, grief and loss, and spiritual issues. She specializes in women's issues, strategic parenting, ADD/ADHD, compassion fatigue, life transitions, improving marital and parent  communication, premarital counseling, stress management, communication strategies, and conflict resolution.  Susan received her MSW from Florida International University.


Jim GilliganJim Gilligan, MSW, LCSW has been working with individuals, families, and couples for over 12 years helping them to discover their own solutions to the challenges they are facing.  Jim's areas of interest include: coping with trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), managing depression and anxiety, managing relationship problems, helping parents be more effective by winning cooperation from their children, helping adults cope with and manage their ADHD, grief and loss, and coping with addiction.  Jim takes a warm, caring approach that ensures a safe and confidential environment that is conducive to growth and healing.  He earned his Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University after serving honorably in the United States Marine Corp.




Jackie GlassJackie Glass, MS, LPC believes that counseling provides people with a safe place to process whatever is going on in their lives and to work towards their goals of change. With a counseling style that is relational, practical, and encouraging, Jackie’s goal is to help people feel strengthened with insight and solutions to handle the challenges ahead. She enjoys working with a variety of clients—children, adolescents, adults, and marital couples—on issues such as depression, anxiety, transition and adjustment, family communication, grief, and teen self-esteem. She also enjoys working with people who desire marital growth, premarital preparation, and guidance for vocational transition and spiritual development.  Jackie received her MS in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University.



Kathy JackKathy Jack, MS, LCPC received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School. She has over nine years of experience in the field of psychology and feels called as a counselor to help those on a journey toward better self-awareness around their emotional life, healing in the midst of struggle, and having more freedom in their relationships. She strives to ensure that her clients experience a deeper under-standing and gain insight into how their past effects their present relationships. Kathy focuses her practice in the areas of marital and family therapy, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief/loss, adoption, physical and sexual abuse, and parent/teen conflict. Kathy enjoys working with people who are exploring their spiritual development and the role that has in their healing. She also enjoys teaching on issues related to parenting, adoption issues, body image, shame, & codependency.
